We are glad to facilitate the inauguration and training of Mother and Child Protection committees in two wards in Kiteto District, Manyara region. The committees involves community influencers in each ward including Local Government Authorities, religious leaders, health specialists, and youth representatives. The committee members were trained on key gender concept and brainstormed together on the way to prevent, recognize, respond and report gender and sexual based violence among children, adolescent girls and women. The committees shall be working closely with the government under Social Welfare desk to end the dominant sexual and gender based violence in their respective wards.
